Autumn/winter 2022 Design trends for Bedrooms
The latest bedrooms trends for Autumn/Winter 2022 featuring patterned wallpaper, statement headboards and more.
Maximalism really comes into its own in the bedroom where designs and styles can be as personal and exuberant as the designer and client wish for. Patterned wallpaper is complemented by equally patterned textiles, statement headboards and fabulous lighting. And always remembering that the dominant shape for this season is the curve. Together with the right colour schemes, how well curves work in the bedroom to create a cocooning environment.
Pink remains popular – in many rooms – but in the bedroom the trend is to pair it with other pastel shades, patterns and textures to give extra depth, comfort and interest to the room – and as a nod towards the maximalism trend.
It is probably a fine line between maximalism and clutter, but carefully designed bespoke storage can take care of that – with the bedroom providing designers with great opportunities to show their storage creativity in even the most difficult shapes and spaces.
WFH is likely to continue – either full-time or on selected days. In the bedroom, a small workspace can easily be designed into a wall of fitted wardrobes, and then hidden away when not in use and thus not impinging on the overall style and ambience of the room.
