New ArtiCAD Partnership with Gainsborough

Two companies within the Gainsborough Healthcare Group; Gainsborough Specialists Bathrooms & Access walk-in-baths are working with ArtiCAD.

Gainsborough Specialists Bathrooms has been designing and manufacturing specialist baths for thirty years, which are supplied primarily to care homes and hospitals.

A wide range of baths are manufactured to ensure they meet specific needs with features such as easy access, powered seats, bathing platforms, rising and falling bath water levels.  More recently, Gainsborough Specialists Bathrooms has expanded its offerings to encompass the entire range of ‘bathing solutions’ including shower rooms and wet rooms.

It was this latter move which encouraged Malcolm Farmiloe, Owner and Founder of Gainsborough Specialists Bathrooms and his fellow directors, to consider working with a CAD company.

Gainsborough Specialists Bathrooms is now using ArtiCAD-Pro software as a key part of its sales activity.  Following an initial visit by the sales person to assess what is required, this is followed up by a technical manager, who then uses the ArtiCAD software to produce a fully rendered visual of the proposed bathroom solution, combined with accurate and detailed plans.  These are presented at a subsequent meeting, where any requested changes can be made to the design.

Gainsborough Specialists Bathrooms chose ArtiCAD as their CAD partner based on the company’s reputation. Malcolm Farmiloe:  “The quality of the renders means that we are able to present professional designs to our clients.  In the care sector, this is important as the decision making process and the departments through which the design and plans have to be approved, can be lengthy.”

For the first time, the full range of Access walk-in-baths, numbering some thirty specialist baths, are available as a comprehensive graphics catalogue within the ArtiCAD software.  Designers using the ArtiCAD-Pro software are able to search the catalogue and select which of the products most suits the needs of their client, and incorporate these into their work.
