KBBConnect easy to use for D&G Kitchens
D&G Kitchens uses ArtiCAD-Pro to design all its kitchens & bedrooms and KBBConnect for quotations.
D&G Kitchens, based in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, manufactures, designs, supplies and fits kitchens (together with all the associated appliances, sinks and taps) and bedrooms. The company, which started trading in 1987, has been a long-term user of the ArtiCAD-Pro design software, as well as originally using an associated pricing system, with which it could be integrated. In 2019, however, Steve Borrett of D&G Kitchens made the decision to replace his existing pricing system with KBBConnect, primarily because of its proven integration with his ArtiCAD system.
“This is the best thing I have ever done. It is so much easier to use, catalogues are updated automatically, and it has the flexibility to enable me to build my own catalogues – which as a bespoke manufacturer is very important for me.”
D&G Kitchens uses the ArtiCAD-Pro software to design all its kitchens and bedrooms to include 2D plans and 3D visualisations, with the detailed itemised quote being produced automatically in KBBConnect.
The company sells both to trade and retail and has a showroom, but during lockdown the trade side of the business has dominated, and D&G Kitchens is currently working closely with a number of new home builders.
“For this situation, I use ArtiCAD-Pro to produce a standard layout and design. Any alterations requested by the purchaser of the new home are then made in ArtiCAD, with the quote automatically updating in KBBConnect.
“KBBConnect also sends automatic alerts when the catalogues are updated so that I can ensure I am receiving the correct discount structure. The level of automation and speed with which catalogues and pricing are updated is very good. With my previous system I had to double-check figures all the time which was very time-consuming.”
D&G Kitchens installs between two and three kitchens each month and one bedroom.
