The Wee Kitchen Shop enjoy using ArtiCAD
ArtiCAD-Pro designs proved “far more effective" than those produced with their previous software.
A furniture maker by trade, Greg Bowers moved into the KBB industry with the aim of bringing his skill as a craftsman with a strong eye for detail to the design and creation of beautiful kitchens.
In 2012, he opened the Wee Kitchen Shop in the Crow Road, Glasgow. Since 2007, Greg had been using a CAD software package to create and visualise his designs, but after nine years he changed this for ArtiCAD-Pro – and is delighted with his decision.
“The software is very intuitive and straightforward to use, and very easy to learn. In fact, I am finding it addictive. I become completely engaged in using it and look forward to the opportunity to learn what else the software can do, rather than regarding this part of my work as a chore. Although I have only recently started to use it, I can see the potential it offers. As a cabinet maker, I am keen to demonstrate how different materials and finishes can be used; the ability to use Google SketchUp is great for this.”
Greg has used the training videos in the members’ area of the ArtiCAD web site which he has found to be very helpful, particularly if he is working out of hours for the ArtiCAD Support Line.
Designs which he produced in his first week with the ArtiCAD software were sent to customers, and these are proved “far more effective than those produced with the previous software, particularly the quality of the rendering and the ability to produce elevations.
“The software has been so well put together. It is obvious to me that it has been designed by KBB designers with practical experience of the industry. It’s very impressive.”
