Worktops At Trade joins the Supplier Partnership Programme
One of the most recent companies to join ArtiCAD’s Supplier Partnership Programme is Worktops At Trade, based in Wakefield and Doncaster. Worktops At Trade sells bespoke granite and quartz worktops to kitchen retailers throughout the UK. The company’s product range, numbering some twenty different colours, is unique to Worktops At Trade.
Kevin Crouthers, director, Worktops At Trade: “All the worktops we supply are our own brand. We provide a ‘one stop shop’ for our kitchen retailer customers including the production of the template, the pricing, and preparing the worktop for installation.
In addition, our products are typically some 40% cheaper than others on the market – because we do everything ourselves.”
The company’s products are imported primarily from China and delivered to their factory, where all the preparation work takes place. When a request for a quotation is received from a retailer, a member of Worktops At Trade visits the customer’s house to take precise measurements and produce a template, which is then used not only for accurate pricing but for the bespoke fabrication.
Worktops At Trade takes delivery of two containers of granite and quartz slabs every month, each container holding some one hundred slabs. For a ‘typical’ L-shaped kitchen with an island, two slabs would be required. Worktops At Trade was founded nine years ago, and now employs twenty-five staff based in the Wakefield factory and the Doncaster offices.
Kevin Crouthers, director, Worktops at Trade: “We first met ArtiCAD in the summer of 2021. Our sales reps were reporting that the majority of their kitchen retailer customers are users of the ArtiCAD-Pro software, and that they believed there would be a massive advantage in being able to show our products and colours within a CAD design product.
A clear advantage is that we are able to show large views of the quartz, rather than just providing a small sample which cannot possibly show the full extent and beauty of the veining and the overall effect which will be achieved. With our products in the ArtiCAD software, our kitchen retailers will be able to produce vibrant 3D designs showing how the product will look in situ in the customer’s new kitchen.” All Worktops At Trade’s quartz products are included in the new ArtiCAD graphics catalogue, and it is planned that new colours will be added in the Spring of 2022
Kevin Crouthers: “White quartz worktops are extremely popular, especially with grey veining. These are often teamed with grey cabinets. We can also product quartz that feels like leather, introduce a texture and matt finish to the kitchen.”
