In February 2016, leading IT solutions provider, SHD AG, purchased the majority shareholding in ArtiCAD Holdings Ltd. Since its foundation in 1983, SHD Group has focused on the development and implementation of IT solutions for the kitchen and furniture retail channel, within which it holds a market-leading position in the DACH region. Solutions include ERP systems for furniture retailers, planning solutions for kitchen, bathroom and living rooms, as well as cross-industry solutions for warehousing, finance and personnel management.
Based in Watford, UK, ArtiCAD was founded in 1992 by Richard Turner, an IT entrepreneur with a special interest in the kitchen retail sector. Since then, our company has grown to be one of the world’s leading KBB industry software specialists. Our flagship products, ArtiCAD-Pro and BathCAD are used by more than 7500 designers in the UK market alone, with a rapidly expanding number of users in North America, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.
